Eligibility
Organizations working to increase engagement, promote and support STEM and
CS education initiatives at the university and pre-university level are eligible
for consideration.
Examples of different programs and projects are:
| Elementary and Middle School Students |
- Designed to improve, advance and enrich student learning in STEM and/or Computer Science
- Appropriately targeted to different stages of student development

| High School and University Students |
- Focused on attracting or retaining students to computer science
- Includes hands-on learning activities using computer science
|
Special consideration will be given to programs and projects that focus on traditionally underrepresented groups in science and technology, and those that operate in the communities in which Google has a presence (U.S. only).
The following types of programs will not be considered for funding:
- Travel or tours
- Curriculum or course design at the university level
- Purchase of equipment such as computers, digital cameras, DVD players, etc.
- Special occasion goodwill advertising, including program books and yearbooks
- Scholarship awards in the name of another organization
- Fund raising activities, events, raffles, or giveaways
- Debt-retirement for organizations
- Scholarships for individual students
The following types of organization will not be considered for funding:
- Sectarian or denominational religious organizations
- Organizations that do not foster an inclusive environment
