Since October of 2021, we’ve fought for over $184.9 million in public service loan forgiveness for 2,320 people in our NY-16 community! In Congress, I’m going to keep fighting for student debt cancellation for all to put money back in people’s pockets.

Student debt cancellation is a racial and economic justice issue. Black and brown borrowers on average have much higher student debt burdens than white borrowers. We need to keep pushing to cancel every last cent of student debt.

In 2015, I called on DOJ & @usedgov to hold the Art Institutes & EDMC accountable for tricking students about their job prospects after graduating. This week, @POTUS took action & canceled the debt of 317,000 borrowers who were lied to.
