Far as I know, EDDINGTON's Ari Aster was nowhere near Wuhan in 2019. Yet COVID and its attendant crises seem so existentially aligned with director's sensibilities that even if the coronavirus didn't exist, Aster might've eventually invented it himself: www.theglobeandmail.com/arts/film/reviews/article-joaquin-phoenix-pedro-pascal-covid-pandemic-satire-eddington-ari-aster/

EDDINGTON or HOW I LEARNED TO KEEP WORRYING AND LOVE THE SCREEN: To Ari Aster, we may be, as the kids say, cooked. Unfortunately, his latest film proves the pandemic (shout out to Jenny Durkan and murder hornets) also may have cooked his brain.
