Combs' New York federal trial ended Wednesday after seven weeks of harrowing testimony from 34 witnesses. Prosecutors alleged that Combs leveraged his wealth, power and influence as the head of a “criminal enterprise” to exploit and sexually abuse women for over two decades.

The Mann Act makes it a federal crime to knowingly transport an individual across state or national borders for the purpose of engaging in prostitution or any other illegal sexual activity. This includes situations where traffickers coerce or deceive individuals into crossing state lines for exploitation.
