1. @CDCgov posted an analysis of the #H5N1
#birdflu virus from the Michigan farm worker. Key points:
— It is H5N1. (They only knew H5 on Wed.)
— I assume this is the avian N1 because CDC does not say otherwise. If this were a reassortant with a human N1, they would say so. pic.twitter.com/spDcVpMPKm

Great study from some really great colleagues, led by @Lakdawala_Lab. To sort out H5N1 transmission mechanisms in cattle, you first need to know where the risk exists.
This study clearly shows that infectious virus can persist on milking equipment. 👇
