HBO's "The Gilded Age" returns for season 3

Originally announced in 2018 for NBC, it was later announced in May 2019 that the show was moved to HBO. The first season premiered on January 24, 2022, and the second on October 29, 2023. In December 2023, the series was renewed for a third season, which premiered on June 22, 2025.

The time in the United Stated between roughly 1870 and 1890 was known as the Gilded Age. Great advances in technology and industry made businesses and their owners extremely wealthy while the working class Americans struggled.

Season two of HBO's The Gilded Age begins on Easter morning 1883, with news that Bertha Russell's bid for a box at the Academy of Music has been rejected. Throughout the eight-episodes season, Bertha challenges Mrs. Astor and the old system as she attempts to assume a leading role in Society.
