Our damage survey crew found evidence of an EF-3 tornado beginning in Boone County, continuing into Marion County from early Sunday morning storms. At 21 miles long, 1500 yards wide, packing winds up to 145 mph this was an incredibly intense tornado. forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&issuedby=LZK&product=PNS&format=CI&version=1&glossary=1

With @NWS #damage surveys still yet to be completed in the coming days...at least 165 #tornadoes have been either confirmed or sighted from May 19 through the AM of May 27. 27 of those were at least EF2. Almost 1,800 reports of t-storm high winds, wind damage. pic.twitter.com/G0MzkirkOt

Agree with @NWSFortWorth this is fascinating. I don't often hear of a "satellite #tornado" that's stronger than the parent, as what happened Sat. night in Collin Co., TX. pic.twitter.com/C79soTEhJi
