Baylor's VJ Edgecombe drafted by Philadelphia 76ers

The Sixers picked Edgecombe over prospects like Texas guard Tre Johnson, Rutgers wing Ace Bailey and Duke forward Kon Knueppel. Before the draft, Morey said they initially had six potential targets at No. 3 overall, then four and ultimately decided to select Edgecombe.

Sixers' rookie VJ Edgecombe will wear No. 77. The Sixers' third overall pick in the 2025 NBA Draft officially has his jersey number.

The Philadelphia 76ers selected Johni Broome, a center out of Auburn University, in the second round of the NBA Draft. Broome was the No. 35 pick overall. In a video the Sixers posted on social media, Broome said he's "ready to work" and called getting picked by the team a blessing.
