It's official: A new interstellar object is currently flying through our solar system at 61 km/sec.
Comet 3I/ATLAS, as it's now known, is only the 3rd known interstellar visitor, but the @VRubinObs is likely to find dozens more in the coming years.

Its diameter is about 10-30 km!

Interstellar Comet Verified by ESA
We posted about this yesterday when it was still known as A11pl3Z. Now it's confirmed. The object has been officially designated 3I/ATLAS, making it the third confirmed interstellar visitor ever pic.x.com/oTqHFTXt1u
