The conflict in the Middle East has already led to the closure of huge swathes of crucial airspace. Since Israel launched its offensive, commercial flights have avoided flying over Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and Jordan.

According to The Economic Times, several Gulf countries, including Qatar, the UAE, Bahrain, and Kuwait, have reopened their airspace. The ceasefire has allowed national carriers in the region to resume operations, while foreign airlines, including Indian carriers, are taking cautious steps toward restoring flights.

On the UAE, the FCDO advises: “Terrorists are likely to try to carry out attacks in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places visited by foreign nationals.
