July 2nd: A weakening front will move off the Southeast US coast, which may spur some slow tropical development. There's a medium chance (40%) of development during the next 7 days. Locally, our typical summer showers/storms will continue through the weekend. #ALwx #FLwx #GAwx pic.x.com/eXAKExqDpz

For awareness, the @NHC_Atlantic is now indicating a 40% chance of development in the northeastern Gulf or far western Atlantic. While this system will bring heavy rain to portions of the southeastern US, it is not a threat to southeastern LA or southern MS. pic.x.com/k5754FbTid
