"Trainwreck: Poop Cruise" documents the Carnival Triumph disaster

The feces were real, but the catastrophe was not. This documentary exists not to document reality, but to preserve the simulation as created by the CNN broadcast: a fiction that momentarily became more real than any truth. This is a symptom of a clearly unpleasant reality.

Passengers were stuck onboard for around four days without working toilets, air conditioning or lighting in many parts of the ship before it was finally towed to Mobile, Alabama. Guests who had been sunbathing on the open decks were soon dragging mattresses out of their cabins to escape stifling heat.

It is still operating today around The Bahamas and the Caribbean.
