The Severe Thunderstorm Watch will be allowed to expire at 9PM EDT. The window of opportunity for severe storms to develop has largely closed. A few isolated showers and perhaps a thunderstorm may still be possible overnight, but the severe potential will remain low.

Isolated showers are moving across our region. Shower and thunderstorm coverage is expected to become more widespread as we go through the afternoon and into the evening.
