Lots of interesting details in @jjones9's conversation with outgoing NFLPA chief strategy officer JC Tretter here. This mess keeps getting bigger—and the surface has barely been scratched on perhaps the biggest piece of it (The OneTeam Partners probe). www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jc-tretter-resigns-from-nflpa-in-surprise-move-opening-up-about-lloyd-howell-executive-director-candidacy/

All 32 NFL player reps were on a call last night to discuss the next NFLPA executive director. It’s shaping up to be a two-man race: JC Tretter, who has majority support, and Don Davis. There’s other names, but these are the lead candidates, per sources.

Some real nuggets in this interview, like the NFLPA executive committee voted 10-1 for a different executive director candidate, but didn’t give the recommendation to the full player board. Why did the committee even vote? www.cbssports.com/nfl/news/jc-tretter-resigns-from-nflpa-in-surprise-move-opening-up-about-lloyd-howell-executive-director-candidacy/
