During May, the rate of Antarctic sea ice growth was slow relative to the 1981-2010 average, but faster than 2023. As of 6/1, Antarctic sea ice extent was 10.52 MM sq km (4.06 MM sq miles) which is 1.14 MM sq km (440,000 sq mi) below the 1981-2010 average. bit.ly/4e7Y8Q0 pic.twitter.com/HTIyYg5u4X
