Criticism of The Tortured Poets Department is totally valid. It’s the messiest Taylor Swift album. It’s not for everyone. It’s just very obvious when your criticism is geared towards clicks from people who love to hate or more focused on her not doing the pop music you want.

Taylor Swift was always going to face backlash for releasing a non-pop album in the wake of Cruel Summer and the Eras Tour. She already said The Tortured Poets Department was an album she had to make for herself. Just wait for that post-Eras Tour, happy-relationship pop return.
