Huge sunspot group on our local star today! If you've got some eclipse glasses handy, you can see it with your own eyes pic.twitter.com/JSDIei5NOA

The Sun yesterday and today showing some rotation and change in the large sunspot region (as well as a few light clouds today). Both shot at 600mm with a white light filter. (The Sun rotates once every ~25 days.) pic.twitter.com/SLHxF7kPz1

I heard there's a large sunspot region right now so I went out and took a telephoto shot through a white light film filter. There it is—the 3664-3668 active region, easily several times larger than Earth. If you have some eclipse glasses around you can just about make it out. pic.twitter.com/XQqFzKRksU

Still have your solar viewing glasses from last month’s eclipse? If so, break ‘em out! If you have sunny skies, you can currently see a huge sunspot group on the Sun with nothing more than your solar viewing glasses. ☀️ pic.twitter.com/5DGWvM2hrC
