LARGE SOLAR STORM OBSERVED: First few images now coming in of a very large coronal mass ejection (solar storm) which was expelled during this evening's M9.7-class solar flare. The CME is likely to be a full halo and may be at least partially directed toward Earth. pic.twitter.com/TWmKZnRsD9

Evolution of the CME and radiation storm blizzard from earlier today. Very nice bright front and fast expansion in LASCO C3. We may get sideswiped on June 11 midday UTC with Kp 5-6 conditions. pic.twitter.com/8N78Gq2NAG

M9.7 solar flare was a parting shot from AR 3697 and briefly saw us touch S3 levels. High energy particle fluxes also rose quite a bit. Asymmetric halo CME observed in coronagraphs with a possible clip at Earth midday June 11 UTC. G2 watch issued by Met Office. Stay tuned! pic.twitter.com/e80YPdGmaN
