Free summer meal program gets underway at Santa Fe schools

  • Monday marked the first day of summer meal service in schools across Santa Fe.
  • More than 600 sites in New Mexico — including 11 in Santa Fe — will participate in the Summer Food Service Program.
  • Meals are available through July to any child age 1 to 18. No registration or enrollment is required to participate.

Heat wave will hit Santa Fe this week, but Roswell will get the worst of it

  • The southeast will see some of the hottest temperatures Thursday. Roswell is expected to reach up to 104 degrees.
  • Thursday will also be the hottest day of the week in Santa Fe. Temperatures at the airport are expected to reach 95.

Longtime restaurant Gabriel's of Santa Fe changes hands

  • Sydney Gabriel sold Gabriel's of Santa Fe, a restaurant he established in 1993, in February.
  • New owners Brad and Tracy Poynor haven’t changed much about the restaurant — and said they don’t have plans to.
  • They said they fell in love with its mix of Southwestern and Mexican flavors, plus the view from the patio.
