Five organizations discuss applications for county GPET funds

- For Fiscal Year 2024, Sheridan County Commissioners allocated GPET funds to 19 Sheridan County organizations.
- The Hub on Smith, Science Kids, Doubleday Sports Complex, The Bradford Brinton Museum and Phorge Makerspaces discussed their requested funding for the upcoming fiscal year during the commission’s staff meeting last week.
- In total, the entities requested $443,000.

Striving for the future: SHS seniors named Daniels Fund Scholars

- SHS seniors Caitlin Rodgers + Jhett West have been named 2024 Daniels Fund Scholars.
- Rodgers and West were participating in their respective extracurricular activities when they received the email at the end of March that would confirm the next chapter in their lives.
- According to the Daniels Fund website, the scholarship program looks for students with, “great potential, strong character, big dreams and values that align with the man behind it all, Bill Daniels.”
