Consuelo's Place shelter will need new home as midtown redevelopment begins

• Since spring of 2020, Consuelo’s Place shelter has housed families and other homeless Santa Feans in individual rooms.
• The shelter was initially intended to be temporary but was turned into a more permanent program.
• With the development of the midtown campus, city officials say it's necessary to find a new location for the shelter.
